We have experience of over 36 years in this Industry and have worked on multiple projects: The Director Michael L Simpson started as a young boilermaker artisan in his father Douglas L Simpson’s workshop at Planet Projects at the age of 16, he finished his studies and qualified as a boilermaker by trade. He later at the age 25 became Managing Director for Planet Projects where he ran the Business for his father successfully for more than 20 years. Michael L Simpson decided to start his own adventure in the middle of one of the worst pandemics to hit the World in 2020; Covid-19, he opened his own Company in a small workshop in Springs, where we later in 2022 moved to a bigger workshop in Anderbolt. The Workshop, 2600m² in size with 3 overhead cranes and has the capacity of fabricating 80-100 tons of steel per month. It is nestled in the busy Industrial area of Anderbolt, Boksburg. MLS Engineering is a motivated and strong-willed Company that started off with only 5 employees and are now stretching over 40 employees after almost 4 years. Our mission is to grow even bigger and create even more employment opportunities in the steel Industry.
